Randy Bailey
Randy is a Founder and the Chairman of First Choice Professionals (FCP). Most recently Randy served as CEO of FCP. Prior to founding FCP, Randy was Senior VP and member of the Executive Management Team of Park City Solutions. As a member of the Executive Management Team he participated in all aspects of the operations of the company.
Along with Randy’s duties on the Executive Management Team, he served as Senior Vice President of Consulting Services and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations
Actively involved in the information technology industry for more than 24 years, Randy’s experience includes operational and leadership roles in the consulting and information technology industry both as a vendor and private consulting firm. Having received his educational training in accounting and advanced public speaking, he has spent his entire career in information technology.
Carter Groome
Carter is a Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of First Choice Professionals LLC. He brings fourteen years of healthcare information technology management, consulting, and sales leadership experience to the company.
As Chief Executive Officer, Carter is able to draw upon his hospital, consulting, and vendor leadership background to benefit FCP’s clients and partners. Before becoming CEO of FCP in 2010, Carter was Executive Vice President responsible for sales, marketing and strategic direction. Prior to founding First Choice Professionals LLC, he was a Business Development Director at Park City Solutions, covering the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
Carter spent 5 years as an applications and integration Project Manager and consultant in the healthcare information technology arena with First Choice Consulting. Prior to his consulting career, Carter held various IT management positions with Adventist HealthCare.
Carter holds a B.S. in Health Science from the University of Arizona and a M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
Brian Hill
Brian brings twelve plus years of healthcare information systems implementation and management experience to his position as Chief Operating Officer for First Choice Professionals, LLC. His areas of expertise include clinical and financial application design, build, and support, Patient Revenue Cycle processing, clinical systems integration, and project management.
Prior to joining First Choice Professionals, LLC, Brian spent 5 years with Perot Systems, Inc. as a manager of Patient Revenue Cycle applications. His responsibilities included oversight of applications and management of the application support team as well as directing business office migrations to a centralized business office model.
In addition, Brian’s 4 years of healthcare consulting experience adds to his customer focused background in IT. During that period, Brian participated in and managed clinical, ancillary, ambulatory, financial, and integration vendor implementations at several major IDN’s.
Mark Scherling
Mark brings over 15 years of healthcare IT, consulting, management and service delivery experience to First Choice Professionals. Mark’s expertise includes project management, clinical and financial application management, implementation and support, systems integration and revenue cycle processing.
Before taking on the role of Executive Vice President at First Choice Professionals, Mark served as FCP’s Revenue Cycle Practice Director, managing projects, business development and consulting staff at engagements across the country.
Prior to joining First Choice Professionals, Mark was responsible for the Management of Revenue Cycle applications and services at Catholic Healthcare West. Prior to FCP, Mark also spent 10 years in healthcare IT consultative roles with health systems across the United States as a Program/Project Manager, Implementation Director, and revenue cycle and clinical systems analyst.
Bruce Smith
Bruce Smith serves as First Choice Professionals’ Director of Recruiting and Sales. With 40 years of sales and healthcare IT experience, Bruce uses his knowledge to increase revenue on the sales side while recruiting top health IT project managers. Bruce is a former hospital CIO and has worked as director of client and sales support at Eclipsys. His unique background allows him to help clients achieve long-term clinical, operational, and financial results.
