Brock Jolly, The College Funding Coach

Brock Jolly is a financial advisor on a mission. His goal is to help thousands of families pay for college without sacrificing their retirement.

His strategies are especially relevant these days as the recession has cut into families’ financial reserves – their home values, their retirement savings, and their college savings – while college costs only continue to rise.

For eight years, Brock has taught his refreshing and somewhat unconventional approach to college funding through adult education seminars in Arlington, Alexandria, Loudoun, Montgomery and Fairfax Counties. His class, “Little-Known Secrets of Paying for College,” focuses on legal strategies for qualifying for more financial aid, and leveraging assets in order to make your money work more efficiently and effectively—in the end reducing the total cost of attendance.

Thousands of parents in the Washington, DC, region have taken his course, many have become his clients, and his strategies have saved them many thousands of dollars.

Peter Cary

Former managing editor of U.S. News & World Report, Peter Cary brings experience as one of the pioneers of the magazine’s College Rankings program, which has become a critical piece of the college decision-making process for many families.

In addition, he is currently in the same shoes of many of our families—he was a participant in our class in 2008, and has two boys currently in high school, preparing to make the leap to college very soon.

Brock and Peter are currently in the process of creating a brand new workbook that will be utilized in our class, “Little-Known Secrets of Paying for College.” In addition, they have begun working on a book that should be published in 2011 if all goes according to schedule. Stay tuned for details!
